Strength Training Journey

Growing up, I was always very active. You name a sport or workout class, and I’ve probably tried it. When I was 44, I faced challenges that led to a transformation through strength training.

Finding the Right Gym

In September 2024, I discovered F45, a HIIT gym offering an electrifying environment that challenged and motivated me. I fell in love with the workouts from the start!

  • Resistance Days: I focused on weight-lifting three times a week.
  • Cardio Hybrid Classes: Enriched my routine with cardio intervals.

Nutrition Matters

Along with my workouts, improving my nutrition was essential. I made a point to prioritize whole foods, enhancing my energy levels and overall well-being.

  • Daily Meals: My meals now include nutritious options like grilled chicken and vegetables.
  • Snacking Wisely: I snack on nuts and prioritize gut health with kefir.

Key Fitness Tips

  1. Form is Crucial: Good form prevents injuries.
  2. Consistency is Key: Regular workouts lead to progress.
  3. Community Support: A gym partner or community can motivate you.

After completing my 250th class and gaining strength, I aim for more challenging goals like unassisted pull-ups. Embracing this journey as a lifelong process has been empowering.
