CHENNAI: Minister for Cooperation K R Periyakaruppan announced that 1,000 'Mudalvar Marunthagam' (Chief Minister's Pharmacy) outlets will be inaugurated on February 24. These will sell affordable medicines at subsidized rates, aiming to improve access across the state.

- 500 pharmacies set up by cooperative federations/societies.

The Tamil Nadu Consumers’ Co-operative Federation will procure medicines from pharmaceutical companies under the Centralised Procurement of Medicines to ensure quality and availability.
