Patna: The state education department has launched Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) in 47 more blocks across 13 districts in Bihar, starting Wednesday. This expansion means that an additional 4,700 girls will gain access to education, making a substantial difference in their lives.

- The residential schools cater to girl students from Class VI to VIII, with some even extending up to Class IX to XII in 143 blocks.
