Marlène Schaff, the current expression teacher at Star Academy, has dropped a bombshell regarding her past with Raphaëlle Ricci. In an interview with Téluélé-Loisirs, she shared, “When I arrived in Paris, I was in Alice Donna's school, who is Raphaëlle Ricci's mother, and our class was invited to audition for the second season of Star Academy.” Schaff went on to detail her interactions, mentioning a remark from Ricci that stated, “Marlène sings beautifully, but it’s a shame she dresses like a farmer.” These comments have led to accusations that Ricci was responsible for Schaff's dismissal from the casting.

Ricci's Response to the Allegations

Faced with these accusations, Raphaëlle Ricci took to her social media to defend herself. She stated, “Dear Marlène, I am shocked to discover that you allege I dismissed you from Star Academy back in 2002, which would indeed be crazy... If that were true,” reinforcing her position. Ricci explained her role in the audition process, clarifying that her input did not factor into the decisions made by the casting jury.

She added, “I have seen claims about rejecting you due to your clothing, as if I would be foolish enough to do that. What a joke!” This back-and-forth has continued to fuel speculation and debate among fans and the media.
